I have read some articles and its mention
“skin is often more sensitive during pregnancy, it’s best to use products with lactobionic acid or gluconolactone. These are polyhydroxy acids (PHA), these PHA safe during preganancy and much more gentle and less irritating on the skin and as a bonus, they also act as a humectant and a powerful antioxidant. ”
It makes me confused about gluconolactone pregnancy safty concern…..
It’s not known to be pregnancy safe for sure, they work just like alpha hydroxy acids and are better and penetrating the skin and getting into your system. The physicians I have talked to about it are pretty much only worried about gluconolactone, some of the others (lactobionic acid in particular) are find in pretty high amounts in foods like milk. But gluconolactone in products is usually a much higher amount than in anything you’d ingest. More here: skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy

Suzanne Kaufman Eye cream line F surprisingly states in their website “ This product contains witch hazel which is not recommended for use by pregnant or nursing mothers. Always consult your doctor before using new products while pregnant or nursing.” Can you please opine on this? I thought witch hazel was one of the safe ingredients. Thank you

I’m not certain if the MALUS DOMESTICA FRUIT CELL CULTURE EXTRACT is a stem cell ingredient. Sometimes stem cells are listed this way, but not always. I would check into what the brand is claiming about stem cells in the product. My concerns are in this post: skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy.
Other than that ingredient, this is safe for pregnancy and nursing
