Ultra calm cleansing cream has retinol, how is that safe?
These are the full ingredients, there is NO retinoid in this list. It does appear to have been updated with licorice root, so I just bumped it down.

Hello. The restorative skin complex has Silver Mushroom (Tremella). I’ve read this is not safe for pregnancy and nursing?
You can pretty much find info out there about avoiding everything possible, much of which isn’t based on much. It’s not considered an ingredient to avoid by the medical community. My list of ingredients that I screen out is very conservative and it’s here: skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy

Hello, on another page on your blog you called out ingredients that you would be cautious of, neuropeptides being one of them. The alastin restorative skin complex has many peptides in it. I wrote that a few years ago, and you’ll notice I’m not currently screening them out. I’ve talked to other physicians and they feel the risks are minimal given the half life of the chemicals (the natural correlates last at the most seconds in our bodies), and that they feel the chemicals stay pretty local. I’m still wondering how long they really last and I’m not sure how far they do travel, but I haven’t started screening these chemicals out.
What about the Restorative Skin Complex? I see it in the picture but not the list so just want to confirm. TY!
