Pregnancy safe beauty products can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products. The list has gotten so large that I’ve decided to start listing brands in their own individual posts.
Here you’ll find pregnancy safe products from Foreo as of 6/18/2021. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. If they release a new product that is not listed here, please comment below and I will add it. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.
Which devices can you use?
There isn’t much data about using specific beauty devices while pregnant/nursing. But here are my thoughts.
Luna: Should be fine for pregnancy and nursing
UFO, Bear, Espada, Iris: No evidence of safety, but I would recommend avoidance while pregnant and while nursing if you’re feeling conservative. Some of the masks are safe for use during pregnancy, I recommend not activating them with your UFO if you want to use them still. Electrical current facial appliances are recommended to avoid for similar reasons to laser procedures, it’s more about the inflammation and things that could happen as a result of the treatment than the local response.

Hi, I want to ask if the foreo UFO and foreo UFO 2 machine that used for those masked you mentioned are ok to used when pregnant? I saw there are lights in those machines, not sure if they are safe for pregnancy
The machines are mentioned at the top, I recommend avoiding the UFO.
Hi! Why would you recommend avoiding the UFO?
A big thank you for everything that you’re doing!!
The discussion is above in the post.
Hi doctor! Thanks so much in advance!
Do u know if the foreo luna3 sensitive massage face brush is safe for pregnancy use?
Devices are listed up at the top, the Luna is fine.
Hi Dr! I accidentally used the FOREO UFO2 twice in a row with two masks (H20 Overdose) without realising that it might be dangerous. I’m 7 weeks pregnant. Should I worry? Having looked at your list, the UFO and the H20 overdose mask are both not safe during pregnancy and now I’m super stressed. What are the dangers of both, and why are electrical pulses and licorice root considered dangerous? And is it dangerous after a 1-time use?
This discussion will be helpful:
You’ve been using a product with a “bad” ingredient
Dear Dr. thank you so much for your post. Wondering if Foreo Bear2 and UFO devices are still not recommended while breastfeeding? Thanks!
Nothing has changed.
I have a question relating to the new microdermabrasion device from Foreo, the kiwi derma. Since I’ve been using it rather regularly before pregnancy and my sink has no adverse reactions could I continue to use it or should I stop?! Many thanks in advance!
It’s basically a physical exfoliator. Should be fine.
Hello! Can Bear be safe during nursing? It makes sense it isn’t during pregnancy as baby is inside, but what is the reason for not recommending it during nursing? (Out of curiosity). Thanks in advance!
It’s just overall lack of data, no one knows what’s right and so no one feels comfortable recommending one way or another.
