Pregnancy Safe Products from Bondi Boost

Pregnancy Safe Products from Bondi Boost

Pregnancy safe beauty products can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products. The list has gotten so large that I’ve decided to start listing brands in their own individual posts.

Here you’ll find pregnancy safe products from Bondi Boost as of 8/13/2022. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. If they release a new product that is not listed here, please comment below and I will add it. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.

Please look at the actual product for the name, both Bondi Boost and Sephora seem to make up their own, and they’re not what is actually on the product.

Please read the section in the post about which products to worry about. You shouldn’t be applying heat protectant to your scalp, so you don’t need to worry about it (like most styling products), which is why I didn’t screen it

Hi, thanks for this, it’s so helpful.

are the JS health hair and energy tablets safe for pregnancy / breastfeeding?

I’ve read some people online saying their midwives say it’s fine.

Ingredient list below. Would love your advice:

Active ingredients per capsule: Fucus vesiculosus whole plant ext. dry conc. 50 mg, equiv. Fucus vesiculosus whole plant dry 1 g, equiv. Iodine 10 micrograms

Ascophyllum nodosum blade and stem powder dry 294 mg, equiv. Iodine 265 micrograms

            (Total Iodine 275 micrograms)

Zinc amino acid chelate 50 mg, equiv. Zinc 10 mg

Other Ingredients: Colloidal anhydrous silica (anti-caking agent), Magnesium stearate (flowing agent), Microcrystalline cellulose (bulking agent), Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (vegetable capsule shell).

            Thanks,
            Sophie

I don’t discuss supplements at all, as a physician I would want my patients to talk to me and not a random doctor online. I will note that a midwife does NOT have the appropriate background in pediatrics to discuss whether it’s safe. I would discuss with a physician.

Rosemary is fine topically during pregnancy. You need to ingest extremely large amounts to have any effects (similar to sage) and physicians don’t advise avoiding in the diet, and it isn’t accepted by the medical community as something you need to avoid topically.

But really, you’re way over thinking this if you’re worried so much about accidental exposure like that. Your skin’s primary function is still to act as a barrier. Some things get absorbed, but most aren’t.
