Hi Dr, I see above this is listed as not pregnancy and nursing safe? Maybe you can clarify the sunscreens in these are titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, aren’t these physical sunscreens and are safe? I’ve listed other products with these ingredients in them before and you have told me they are safe. I’m just wondering more on the sunscreen front? Where is the chemical sunscreen in this? Thanks!

The lists always say which ingredients are an issue. This is one to avoid in both pregnancy and nursing due to the Arbutin. Bakuchiol they discuss it a LOT on the page, I don’t see it listed in the full ingredients which make me think one or the other is off. But Bakuchiol I screen as a retinoid, so you need to avoid that also in both pregnancy and nursing.
Re sunscreens, yes zinc and titanium are both pregnancy safe, but there are often chemical sunscreens included also. In this case the #2 ingredient after water is Homosalate, which is a chemical sunscreen.

That’s too bad for the Perfect Glow BB cream. They must have changed their formula because the one I had used before had active ingredients of ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, titanium dioxide and zinc oxide for SPF. Not sure if ethylheyxl methoxycinnamate is okay though.

      No, that’s a chemical sunscreen.

Thanks for spotting that! Interesting that they added arbutin as it’s actually ON the “free from” list on that product’s page? So strange.
      I’ve fixed the list.

The strawberry moisturizer looks fine for pregnancy and nursing

Thanks. I was worried about the Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Hexapeptide-9, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, had found conflicting info when I gogoogled these.
