The weather change is slowly starting here in Michigan, which means my go-to summer products are ready for a quick fall beauty update! I wanted to try a few new things, so I grabbed a few new releases from Sephora.
I love that Sephora carries so many of my favorite brands. I’m a Rouge member of the Beauty Insider Program and I’ve been collecting points for quite a while! I was able to redeem some of them for $10 off this order, in the past I’ve redeemed points for as much as $100 off or 15% of my total purchase. I also used a code from a Sephora email to get a free deluxe fragrance sample, the Jo Malone London English Pear & Freesia Cologne that I’ve had my eye on! It’s perfect for trying out a new scent or to take on travel. They list active codes on their Beauty Offers page.
Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Radiant Concealer
If you’re looking for a new medium to full coverage concealer, this is a great one! It comes in 30 shades with a lot of undertone options. I sometimes have a hard time finding a match due to my fair skin and pink undertones, but it was easy to figure out with this product. I found it to be creamy and super easy to blend into my skin, but it doesn’t crease at all despite being a medium to full coverage concealer. Most concealers with that much coverage just feel too dry or look cakey under my eyes by mid-afternoon. This concealer isn’t like that. I highly recommend it!
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Gloss Bomb Ice
I love Fenty’s glosses, and this is no exception. It’s a super shiny clear gloss, it doesn’t feel sticky at all and it feels nicely hydrating. What sold me on it was the minty flavor. It’s just enough mint to feel fresh and slightly tingly, but not overpowering. Perfect for fall!
Gucci Luminous Matte Beauty Blush
I was intrigued by this blush because of the name. How often do you see luminous and matte together? Strangely enough, I think it’s well named. This blush doesn’t have shimmer in it (matte), but it is very finely milled and the color is buildable. I found it very easy to apply, adding just the right amount for a very pretty, luminous flushed look. It’s similar to the look I can get with a cream blush, though I think powders are a bit easier to apply and this one has the staying power of a powder blush. This is Fresh Rose.
A few things that I’ve already been loving also found their way into my cart recently for restocks!
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
I’ve been through I don’t even know how many pots of Laneige’s cult favorite lip mask. I put it on every night before bed (and sometimes I’ll put on more in the middle of the night). It’s hydrating, not sticky and even in the dead of winter can keep my lips moisturized. The peppermint was a limited edition flavor that I’ve been obsessed with (it’s why I bought the Fenty lip gloss, I wanted an on the go version that didn’t make me put my fingers in a pot of balm), and it turns out that peppermint is still available! Buy some now for the winter, it makes a perfect stocking stuffer.
Fenty Skin Butta Drop Whipped Oil Body Cream
Yes. It’s an expensive body cream. But hear me out on this one!
I first bought this cream in the late winter, when I was applying body oil and cream in layers to maintain any moisture in my skin. I was about to go to Florida for spring break, and I couldn’t figure out the best way to transport my body oil without the threat of spillage. My favorite body oils don’t come in a travel size, and I experimented with a few bottles to decant and they were all leaking. Then I found this Fenty cream, and it appeared… like a cream and oil in one product? And it even come in a travel sized version? So I bought them both within about 5 minutes of seeing it on the Sephora site. And I’ve now refilled the travel tub a few times, and I’ve purchased refills for the large tub as well.
This really is a super hydrating cream, it does the job of layering body oil and cream but in just 1 step. The hydration is insane, and it leaves behind a sexy sheen on my legs that I’ve really been obsessed with this summer. So I’m keeping myself well stocked up in this cream!
Jo Malone London English Pear & Freesia Cologne
Here’s a peak at that “sample” that I got for free with my order. It’s really rather large, and even came in a very nice bottle! A great upgrade from most free samples. I really love this scent, but I’m a sucker for anything with Freesia. A full sized version is already in my cart for my next Sephora purchase. There’s a list of more promo codes on the Sephora Beauty Offers page!
