Stocking Up on Luxury Beauty with Bluemercury

Stocking Up on Luxury Beauty with Bluemercury

It’s that time of year again, Bluemercury is starting their Anniversary Sale! This is my favorite sale for luxury beauty products and professional skincare. They have a lot of my favorite brands including Chantecaille, La Mer, Sisley-Paris, Oribe and SkinMedica. The discount during this event is the best I’ve found on these brands, they are so rarely discounted! You know that I’ve been planning what products I’m trying out and stocking up on.

This year’s event is special because it is Bluemercury’s 25th anniversary. They’re doing a rebrand as part of the event. You’ll notice that they have already launched a new website. They will also be opening new locations, remodeling current stores, and adding new brands!

To take advantage of the Anniversary event you’ll need to join Bluerewards. You’ll get up to 25% off $250+ most items (a few brands are excluded or might have a lower discount).

I thought I’d share items I’m currently loving from Bluemercury, and what I’ll be stocking up on!

Makeup Picks from Bluemercury

The Best Makeup

Two of my go-to makeup brands are included in the Anniversary Sale, Sisley-Paris and Chantecaille! Both are very hard to find discounted, so you know that I’ll be stocking up on my favorites and also trying some new shades of current must haves.

Chantecaille Fall Cheetah Collection Look Best Chantecaille makeup

Chantecaille

While I’ve already purchased the entire Fall Cheetah collection, I need to mention it! The eye shadow trio is a flattering neutral that will work for any skin tone. It blends beautifully and I think can have a lot of versatility depending on how you apply the shades. Here I have the mid-tone over my list, concentrated a little more just above the crease, and then the darker shimmer is pressed into the lash line with some black liner.

The Lip Veils are my latest lippie obsession, and over the last year I think I’ve purchased almost all of the core collection shades. I did buy all 3 of the Cheetah limited edition shades (I’m wearing Wild Sienna in this picture), and the Turtle collection shades are my current go-to lippies. Lip Veils have just the right amount of color, feel hydrating and the shades are so flattering! I get a lot compliments whenever I wear them.

My must have shades: Wild Sienna, Honey Pot, Maobi

Sisley-makeup-picks

Sisley-Paris

I’ve always felt that this super luxe brand was outside of my reach, but the Bluemercury event makes it more approachable! I have been very impressed with every product I’ve tried from Sisley, they’re some of my most used items!

Phyto-Hydra Teint Tinted Moisturizer
This is a pretty hydrating, lightweight tinted moisturizer with sheer to light coverage. It only comes in light shades (Sisley, please release a wider range of more inclusive shades!), and I do think they’re pretty forgiving. I go between the 0 Fair and 1 Light shades in the winter and summer. I apply over a serum in the morning, I just need to smear a small amount around with my fingers and it blends perfectly! This moisturizer makes my skin look so much better, but you can’t see it on my skin. I’ll be stocking up on this for the winter for sure, but buy quick, it goes out of stock.

Phyto-Cernes Eclat Eye Concealer
This is one stop under eye concealer and corrector in one! You only need a little bit, too much will just get cakey. I apply right under my eyes after my Phyto-Hydra Teint, then blend with a NARS #11 Brush.

L’Orchidée Blush
Yes, this is one expensive blush. But it is incredibly pretty, with just the right amount of shimmer. It blends perfectly, lasts all day, and somehow my first compact has lasted well over a year of daily use and I swear it will last a couple more. I use shade 2, L’Orchidée Rose.

Phyto-Rouge Shine
I’m a sucker for a good tinted lip balm. The Sisley Phyto-Rouge Shine is one, and if I’m not using my Chantecaille Lip Veil, then I likely have a Phyto-Rouge Sine in my bag that day. There’s a pretty decent range of shades in the core collection and 11 Sheer Blossom and 20 Sheer Petal are my favorites. The limited edition shade, 13 Sheer Beverly Hills, is the perfect pinky-peach shade. I’m almost out of it, so I’ve already added a new one to my cart.

Skincare from Bluemercury

Professional and Luxe Skincare

My splurge skincare is all available at Bluemercury, and you can bet that with this discount I’ll be loading up my cart!

Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser
This is a gentle exfoliating scrub, and a little of it goes a long way. I love that it has small and even grit, perfect for feeling like I’ve gotten a decent exfoliation without tearing up my face. It also smells amazing and rinses off very easily.

my eye area
Unretouched picture of my eye without makeup. I have some volume loss under the medial aspect, but no sign of crow’s feet! Image has been brightened to show details a little better.

SkinMedica TNS Eye Repair
Yes, my under eye area is not perfect. But, I’m 47 and have a pretty smooth outer eye area, no crow’s feet! I’ve been using this eye cream nightly for over 10 years, and it gets all the credit. I do sometimes use it in the morning as well under makeup and it does prep the eye area quite well.

La Mer Crème de La Mer Face Cream
I always thought La Mer was one of the most over hyped skincare products on the market. How good can a simple face cream be? But then I got older, and my previous combination skin has dried out. I went through a wide array of products trying to restore moisture, and it turned out that classic La Mer is what I needed. A small amount nightly does amazing things to my skin, giving me hydrated and glowy skin. None of the dupes work for me, but luckily I need such a small amount that a jar can last me a very long time!

Oribe Picks from Bluemercury

The Best Haircare

My go-to styling products are all sitting in my Bluemercury cart, waiting for me to take advantage of the Anniversary Event! Here’s a look at which ones are my go-tos.

Oribe Superfine Hair Spray
I’ve tried a lot of hair sprays out there, but this one seems to keep my curls for days longer than any others. It also doesn’t feel sticky. I swear that can lasts me months also, it feels neverending!

Oribe Hair Alchemy Heatless Styling Balm
This lightweight lotion helps smooth my hair, adding shine and making it look healthier. It’s perfect when I’m going to do heatless curls, they last a lot longer when I’ve prepped my hair with the Heatless Styling Balm.

What will  you be picking up from this year’s Bluemercury Anniversary Sale? I would love to know!
