Today marks the “real” beginning of the Nordstrom Sale (you can see my picks here), and yesterday I shared my favorite beauty pick, the Bobbi Brown On Trend Palette. You’ll need a lippie to go with that palette, and Bobbi Brown has you covered. My favorite is this Nude Lip Trio, though I admit that I also have the Pink Lip Trio in my cart now, it’s perfect if you like a statement pink lip!

Note that when I’ve done “nude” lips in the past, I’ve always gone for a pink-nude. This is really my first “nude” lip, which felt pretty different for me! The 3 colors all work very harmoniously so you can layer the products if you want, but they aren’t 100% the same.
When the Art Sticks came out, I was unsure of them. Did I want another liquid lipstick? I have to admit, I was obsessing over LipSense, and wanted more LipSense shades than I wanted to try this out. So I skipped the Bobbi Brown.
I love that they come in this pencil tube, instead of another wanded tube. You squeeze and the thick product comes out of the angled tip. It is well pigmented and spreads easily, I don’t think it feels sticky at all. You need less product than you think you will, I spread it some on my lips and then smack them together to spread it around a little more. It lasts for about 3-4 hours if I’m not eating, and it does need to be reapplied after meals. Overall I like the Art Sticks, I’ll likely use them on days I’m not at work (where I don’t have time for reapplications).
Here I’m wearing the Art Stick in Honey Bare. I have on a bit of mascara, the Erborian BB Cream, undereye concealer and a little powder. I’ve been wearing more foundation most work days on my nose, you can see I’ve added a bunch of freckles this summer despite wearing SPF 55 every day! I’m a little pink from swimming in the pool the day before this picture.

The Bobbi Brown Nude Trio look gorgeous on you! Talk about an everyday “go to” look! I love nude lips. I tried this very shade at a Macy’s counter and was so disappointed how orange it looked on me. My nude colors have to be on the cooler side, fortunately, there are a couple of Bobbi Brown nudies I can wear.
Thanks!! It feels so brown, though I’ve worn it since this picture, I think when I wear more makeup to cover the redness (and haven’t been out in my pool a lot the day before making that redness worse) then it looks better.
