I write a lot about skincare, and as a result I get a lot of questions from readers about how to decide what skincare products to include in your own skincare regimen. What should you use? What products are best for your skin type, and if they were affordable that would be great too. My recommendations for years have centered around Olay. Olay makes great antiaging skincare at an affordable price point, and they’re easy to find in stores.
But where to start? Luckily, Olay has teamed up with Sam’s Club to answer that question for you. They have created the Olay Skin Advisor, and it will analyze your face and recommend a skin care routine for you. All of the products are available for purchase at Sam’s Club.
You start the process by taking a selfie on the Olay Skin Advisor. They recommend removing your makeup, taking off your glasses and pulling back your hair. I had been having a “bad skin week” when I took my selfie. I had a cold, hadn’t been sleeping well and no amount of moisturizer seemed to hydrate my skin enough to counteract the winter air sucking the moisture out of my face!
I figured this was probably the ideal time to take my selfie, it will show the most issues with my skin, right? So, I broke out a face wipe and took off my foundation. Hence, my pretty much bare face, but I still have on my eyeliner and mascara.
The Olay Skin Advisor will identify problem areas, ask you about your current skincare routine and what your priorities are for your skin. I was pleasantly surprised that my skin age was my real age, especially during a lackluster skin week!
Notice that off to the right side of the screen you can see my recommended routine. The program kept it pretty simple with three products, but they are full of ingredients carefully chosen to address my skin’s needs. There’s an easy button to take you directly to that product on the Sam’s Club website. It only takes a few minutes to order everything you need!
I’ve had my Olay skin care routine for a little bit now, and I do really like it. In particular the Eye Cream, which has a lot of active ingredients in addition to a bit of color correction for dark under eye circles!
Are you overwhelmed with antiaging skincare? Have you tried the Olay Skin Advisor yet?

Sounds great! I haven’t used Olay in such a long time..

I used Olay 24 for face and eyes. My skin is peeling , I look afful can use it or stop. AmI doing something wrong?
I’m not familiar with that product and I’m not part of the Olay brand. But if your skin is peeling I would stop using it.
The Skin Advisor Web site seems to have disappeared. If it’s possible to bring it back, that would be great. Thanks.
This post is from 2018, Olay discontinued the site in 2019. Note, I am NOT olay, sorry.
