Ren Evercalm Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask Review

Soothing Redness Face Mask by Ren Review

I have rosacea. It’s a bit mild, but my skin is still sensitive to certain skincare products, wind or sun exposure. My nose can turn red quickly and it takes a day or two to recover. So I’m all about the soothing skincare products. I use Bobbi Brown Remedy #80 daily which helps a lot, but even that can’t keep redness at bay once I’ve spent the afternoon in the pool with my girls. (Yes, I wear sunscreen. SPF 50+. It isn’t sunburn, it’s redness from my rosacea.)

I picked up the Ren Evercalm Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask this spring from Sephora when they had a Rouge/VIB/Beauty Insider sale, and it hung out on my vanity for about 6 weeks before I picked it up. I wish I hadn’t ignored it for so long!

The Evercalm Mask is just what my skin needs when it is red and irritated. It is a greenish lotion with a light herbal (maybe a tad minty?) scent. It just feels like a lotion, and you leave it on for about 10-15 minutes. It absorbs into your skin over that time. You can wash it off if you want, but I just leave it on to completely absorb into my skin. I follow it up with a night serum and then head to bed.

The next morning my redness is gone. Like, completely. And I am no longer irritated and uncomfortable. My skin is hydrated and plump. I swear that is a thing. It looks amazing.

I should likely start using this mask on a daily basis, but I’m currently using it about 1-2x/week when my skin has an issue. I’ll be repurchasing this one for sure!
