This has licorice root so I wouldn’t use it for pregnancy, only nursing
I was recently told that phenoxyethanol is found in my Thayers Rose Petal Toner and causes “nervous system interactions” in infants so it wasn’t recommended for breastfeeding or pregnancy. I don’t see them as “not recommended” and was curious why.

Phenoxyethanol isn’t felt to have enough to be of a concern currently.
The researches seem to show that Phenoxyethanol might not be recommended for pregnancy only because your skin might be sensitive during this time, or if you ingest it.

I’d love your feedback on witch hazel toner.
I’m reading conflicting information on witch hazel, a main ingredient for DIY postpartum padscicles, yet there’s ‘not much evidence it’s pregnancy/nursery safe’ on the other hand.
Ingredients: Natural Witch Hazel Extract and fragrance, Aloe Vera, Purified Water and natural grain alcohol (10% as a preservative)
Witch hazel is fine. Everything you need to worry about is here: skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy
I would be careful with it in a padscicle, if any gets on your skin, which is insanely sensitive after giving birth….
