In reply to Crystal. The oral information is all with very high dosages. It's not considered an ingredient to avoid by the medical community. My list of ingredients that I screen out is very conservative and it's here: skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy

Thank you so much for this information – your blog has been so helpful! I had a question about saw palmetto as an ingredient in Bondi Boost HG shampoo (and many other hair loss shampoos). The majority of research online suggests that oral saw palmetto is bad for pregnancy, but I haven’t seen a lot of information available on topical usage, like in a hair growth shampoo. Is topical use okay? Apologies if this has already been answered in a previous comment. Thank you!

But really, you’re way over thinking this if you’re worried so much about accidental exposure like that. Your skin’s primary function is still to act as a barrier. Some things get absorbed, but most aren’t.
