Hi thanks so much for all this information. One question- you list licorice root as not safe, however on another brand (mielle rosemary mint hair mask- my holy grail) you state that rosemary is totally fine because you would have to ingest A LOT to have adverse effects on pregnancy. Just curious what makes licorice root different, why are you more concerned with this natural ingredient if we’re not ingesting it? Is it more dangerous in smaller doses?

In reply to E. Oh no! Thanks for finding that. They reformulated. I reviewed it in 2022 (the date is in the post) and it was NOT there then. I actually had checked the list on about 5 different sites and a friend who owned it even sent me a picture of her product. It was so unusual to find a cushion that was pregnancy safe! The viral TirTir red cushion one IS pregnancy safe (I finally put that list together yesterday), but the shades are pretty warm. If you check the YesStyle site they have little trial packs for about $1 that have multiple shades, so you can try before you buy.

Hello! Thank you so much for this wonderful website. Much appreciated! I just had one question about the ‘Perfecting Cushion’ that is under the ‘Safe for Pregnancy’ category. I see that one of the ingredients listed is this one, ” Octinoxate 7.0%”. Is octinoxate safe during pregnancy? Thank you!

There are only about 3 pregnancy safe cushions and this is one! There are Sulwhasoo perfecting cushion and sisley. What’s about the last one?
