I’ve just written a free eBook on how to approach your skincare routine while pregnant! It is so overwhelming to figure out a skincare routine when you are expecting a baby. And then do it over and over again, because pregnancy is a hormonal rollercoaster! I swear my skin’s needs and issues changed at least every trimester, sometimes once a month. You’ll learn more about how I combat that in the book!

These are all ok while pregnant and nursing. Note, the St Ives was specifically called out by dermatology when I was in med school as bad for your skin, the apricot pieces are sharp and will actually cut the face…. be very careful!
Oh wow!! TY š Is there a facial scrub you recommend to replace St Ives?
I look for small and even grit that isn’t sharp, many of which are no longer on the market, sadly. I do like the R+F Microdermabrasion, but that has licorice root and I wouldn’t recommend using it during pregnancy. I typically rely on my Clarisonic for gentle exfoliation.
Awesome!! TY š
Hi!
I have a general question about Petrolatum. Is it safe? I hear mixed things.
I am a huge aquaphor user…is this safe?
Thank you!
Both are fine!
And also what’s your thoughts on deodorants? Sorry forgot to add this on last post.
Thank you again!
I think I’ve only seen 1 that I don’t consider pregnancy safe, it was some “natural” brand I’d never heard of actually. Lots of evidence that the aluminum salt used in them is fine. I just stuck with my normal favorite while pregnant.
Hi. I just downloaded the pregnancy ebook. Are there any good Vitamin C serums you would recommend for hyperpigmentation? Also, what are your thoughts on Apple cider vinegar. Right now I am using a DIY astringent/toner with equal parts distilled water, ACV, and witch hazel.
Apple Cider Vinegar is fine if you want to keep using it. There are a couple of vitamin c serums over in the big list of pregnancy safe skin care products, but I’d look at the Vitamin C products from La Roche-Posay, there are quite a few options in that line that are pregnancy safe!
thank you!!
