Thank you Christine!! I appreciate your response and the additional information!
]]>I mentioned that YEARS ago, and have more research and discussion with other physicians I’m assured it is safe.
Re: cancer. There are some discussions in the Derm community about whether putting growth factors on pre-existing cancer/pre-cancer lesions could result in increased growth/cancer. It’s very theoretical, and there’s no evidence to support it currently, despite on going discussion and active research in this area. If you’re worried, no one is going to make you use this product. I’d just skip it then. But despite the discussion being active for a long time, no one has any concrete evidence.
I have a question about the TNS advanced + serum. This serum has growth factors and in other growth factor containing products you mentioned those are not safe for pregnancy? Can you give some more detail on what makes this one ok/safe?
I also saw years ago there was some media around this product and some of the articles mentioned it may be cancerous. Do you have any thoughts here.
Thank you so much for putting this website together!! It is amazing and so so helpful.
]]>The conditioned media is NOT stem cells. Stem cells are labelled differently. This product has has stem cells in it per the brand in the past, but they changed the info on their site and it did NOT appear to have stem cells at my last review. Some of the comments are not only outdated, but they are from other areas around the world where there are different formulations.
]]>Hi Dr,
I don’t mean to be a pain and your blog is so much help during my pregnancy and nursing, thanks again for all you do. I wasn’t referring to old comments, I made that comment the other day and some reason it back dated it. Just looking for clarification. I asked if the TNS advanced+ serum is not ok for pregnancy due to stem cells and you agreed that its not but its listed above in your list as pregnancy safe. I’m just confused.
Is it the Human Fibroblast Conditioned Media thats not safe?
What about this product for nursing?

]]>It’s been reformulated since the question and the post is updated… Please stop reading old comments.
]]>Thank you, but above you have it listed as pregnancy and nursing safe?
]]>My understanding is that it isn’t stem cells, but it’s the kind of media used to feed cells in cell culture. Typically stem cells are labeled as “culture extract”.

]]>I would still avoid this in pregnancy and nursing due to the retinoid (this is extremely well known to avoid, I am giving your esthetician major side eye right now, this is not remotely iffy), it also has licorice root to avoid in pregnancy.
