In reply to Christine. Oh wow; hidroquinone I had heard and definitely makes sense what you are explaining. I am only nursing but as a mama that is careful to the extreme , I will probably also avoid it while nursing! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge on this. I had been wanting to try this line for a while now but had been hesitant because ingredients are listed in so many different ways and names, so this helps a ton. Thanks and keep the great work!

In reply to Doraly Roman. The physiology of what happens with a placenta is very different than nursing. Basically the placenta is a big filter, but a lot of things get through. But for nursing, the body has to actively secrete most things into the breast milk. You're also dealing with a baby whose organs are already formed, very different than a baby who is still forming organs. Licorice root is very similar to hydroquinone, but not as strong.

Hi!! Why is licorice root not good in skincare while pregnant but ok while nursing?? Never heard of that ingredient. Thanks!!
