NARS NARSissist Wanted Cheek Palettes Review and Swatch https://www.15minutebeauty.com/nars-narsissist-wanted-cheek-palettes-review-swatch.html https://www.15minutebeauty.com/nars-narsissist-wanted-cheek-palettes-review-swatch.html#comments Thu, 08 Mar 2018 19:26:20 +0000 https://www.15minutebeauty.com/?p=8850 I’m a big fan of NARS blushes. Their Orgasm blush is an icon for a good reason! The colors just seem to really work, always. They are pigmented without turning you into a clown. They’re just perfect. If you’re just being introduced to NARS blushes, I think you should start with one of their blush palettes. They offer a range of shades for a steal! They’ve just released 2 new palettes, they’re part of the NARSissist Wanted line. The Wanted Cheek palettes are very pretty, I think they’re a must have for spring! I’m really loving having these palettes for a bright pop of color for spring, and they’ll most likely end up becoming standard travel beauty items for me as well. I’m one of those people that can’t stand to only have one option, and I usually travel with at least 2 blushes. These palettes aren’t bulky and there are 6 options in each of them! I love that some of the blushes have shimmer and some are matte as well. They’re perfect for someone like me! Wanted Cheek Palette I: Better for those with cool toned skin, pictured on the left with swatches on the top Buy it…

Everyday Favorites: My Favorite Blushes and Bronzers https://www.15minutebeauty.com/favorite-beauty-blogger-blush-bronzer.html https://www.15minutebeauty.com/favorite-beauty-blogger-blush-bronzer.html#comments Mon, 07 Aug 2017 15:00:46 +0000 https://www.15minutebeauty.com/?p=7988 I’ve been sharing my go-to everyday favorite products, in case you missed the posts you can find my favorite skincare, BB cream and concealers, and eye makeup. Today I’m sharing my favorite bronzers and blushes! I have to apologize for the picture. I obviously use these products a lot, but I don’t have fresh backups of any of them. So, you’re stuck with looking at my currently in use blushes and bronzers! Bronzer Bronzer isn’t something that I always use, but on days that I’m needing a little extra coverage I do use some bronzer. I use a slightly angled, flat top brush that’s a little bit loose, usually the IT Cosmetics Heavenly Skin Skin-Smoothing Complexion Brush #704. I use a very light application and put it under my cheekbones and around my hairline. Just this little bit adds some dimension to my face and looks great! I go for bronzer that is matte and can create a light wash of color. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer in Milk Chocolate, get it at ULTA or Sephora NARS Sun Wash Diffusing Bronzer in Laguna, at NARS or Sephora Blush I usually use a pretty bright pop of color with a…

Just the Right Glow: CoverGirl TruBlend Blush and Bronzer Swatch and Review https://www.15minutebeauty.com/covergirl-trublend-blush-bronzer.html https://www.15minutebeauty.com/covergirl-trublend-blush-bronzer.html#comments Tue, 23 May 2017 01:29:00 +0000 https://www.15minutebeauty.com/2017/05/covergirl-trublend-blush-bronzer.html Have you seen these? I’ve overlooked them for a looong time at the drugstore. When I shouldn’t have. It took CoverGirl sending them to me (for a sponsored post in the fall) for me to really notice them. You can check out that sponsored post here, but they’ve been quietly sitting here on my vanity, being used frequently, ever since. Because they’re kind of amazing. One of the first things you might notice is that they look a bit… familiar? They remind me a lot of the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish and Mineralize Blush. I don’t use a lot of MAC face products, but anything marbleized with shimmery metallic screams “MINERALIZE” to me. There’s a reason those MAC products have stuck around for so long, is that they’re just so pretty. Super pretty, they make you glowy, they last all day… you get the picture. They’re classics for a reason. These CoverGirl TruBlends do remind me a lot of the Mineralize products, though they are a little less pigmented and they don’t last quite as long. Think 10 hours instead of 12-14 hours. But, they are just as pretty. And they cost a fraction of the MAC products. bronze, light rose,…

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Palette Color Wheel Review and Swatches https://www.15minutebeauty.com/tarte-amazonian-clay-blush-palette.html https://www.15minutebeauty.com/tarte-amazonian-clay-blush-palette.html#respond Mon, 24 Oct 2016 19:00:00 +0000 https://www.15minutebeauty.com/2016/10/tarte-amazonian-clay-blush-palette.html One of my all time favorite Tarte products has to be their Amazonian Clay Blushes. The colors have just the right amount of pigmentation, they show up but don’t overwhelm your face and are just so pretty! I had some years ago, but hit the pan and never replaced them when I finished them. The life of a beauty blogger… you have so much other stuff that sometimes it is very hard to justify purchasing a favorite product again. When I was drooling over the new holiday shadow palettes they released, this new blush color wheel palette caught my eye. It’s a great way to get a selection of the blushes that I like so much, but I don’t need to have the full sized versions! The palette itself is pretty amazing. It is a very well made metal, with a cool design on the front. It clicks closed, and is a little bit bigger than a CD I think. Inside, you’ll find 10 different shades of blush and highlighter. They’re “deluxe” sized, which means not quite full sized, but not super small either. The shades are all limited edition, you won’t find them any where else. I think there’s…

Boom! by Cindy Joseph Review https://www.15minutebeauty.com/boom-cindy-joseph.html https://www.15minutebeauty.com/boom-cindy-joseph.html#comments Mon, 11 Jul 2016 20:03:00 +0000 https://www.15minutebeauty.com/2016/07/boom-cindy-josep.html So, yeah. Summer is here. Things have been crazy. And I’ve been spending a lot of time in our new pool. Like, a lot. Which means my skin is a bit drier than usual thanks to the chlorine, and sometimes I need a little more color when I get out the pool (but I rarely have more than about 30 seconds to touch up since I have little ones who are begging for food about that time). So, these makeup sticks from Boom! by Cindy Joseph are currently everything. Read on to learn more about them. So, there are only 3 sticks. The first one, on the far left, isn’t even color. It’s a moisturizer. It’s call Boomstick Glo, and it is an intensive, beeswax based moisturizer in a stick. It’s one of those products that you can use everywhere in a pinch, on your face, your cuticles, etc. It would be great for travel (and it doesn’t even need to go in your 3-1-1 bag since it is solid). I’ve been using it on areas that feel dry and need a little more moisture when I get out of the pool, that’s mostly my chin and cheeks. I just…

NARSissist Cheek Studio Palette Swatch and Reviews https://www.15minutebeauty.com/narsissist-cheek-studio-palette-swatch.html https://www.15minutebeauty.com/narsissist-cheek-studio-palette-swatch.html#respond Wed, 02 Mar 2016 20:00:00 +0000 https://www.15minutebeauty.com/2016/03/narsissist-cheek-studio-palette-swatc.html Have you seen the newest blush and bronzer palette from NARS? It’s exclusive to Sephora, and like other NARS blushes, this is all kinds of amazing. These blushes are beautiful and work for almost any skin tone. They apply with just a regular blush brush, but do seem to be extra glowy! They last all day on me. Included in the palette are: Top row, left to right: Contour Blush in Paloma I (pink beige), Paloma II (deep rose), Laguna Bronzing Powder (diffused brown powder with golden shimmer) Bottom row, left to right: I Blush in Icy Lilac II Blush in Sausalito Sunset III Blush in Shimmering Rose Peach IV Blush in Fleshy Pink While Laguna is a cult favorite bronzer, I need to use a very light hand with it as it is a bit too dark for my super fair skin. I’ve mostly been using I or II as my blush since they’re very light and glowy, but with a larger brush both III and IV work well for me also. Affiliate Link

Ten Great Blushes For A Pretty Flush https://www.15minutebeauty.com/best-pretty-spring-blushes.html https://www.15minutebeauty.com/best-pretty-spring-blushes.html#respond Tue, 10 Mar 2015 19:00:00 +0000 https://www.15minutebeauty.com/2015/03/best-pretty-spring-blushes.html Product Sent for Review I Bought It Myself Affiliate Links When you’re as fair as I am, a little blush can go a long way to looking like I’m awake and… healthy. Especially with a newborn! Today for Top 10 Tuesday we’re sharing our favorite spring blushes, though obviously they work all year long. I like to use blushes that give me a pretty flush, especially cream blushes. 1. Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Beauty’s Touch (my review here, get it from Drugstore.com): This is a very versatile powder. With a small brush it can give a more pigmented look, or a bigger brush and just brush it around my face. It won’t show up that way, but it does make my face look more alive and people don’t ask me if I feel ok (the struggle is real my friends). 2. Maskcara Cream Blush in Pink Grapefruit (from Maskcara Cosmetics): I’ve only had it for a few days, and I haven’t even uploaded the pics yet from my camera, but the newly reformulated Maskcara blush is just as amazing as the original. You can read my Maskcara IIID Foundation review if you’re thinking about ordering! 3. Stila Convertible Color…

L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Blushes Review and Swatch: Super Glowy and Pretty! https://www.15minutebeauty.com/loreal-blur-cream-blush-review-swatch.html https://www.15minutebeauty.com/loreal-blur-cream-blush-review-swatch.html#respond Fri, 01 Aug 2014 20:08:00 +0000 https://www.15minutebeauty.com/2014/08/loreal-blur-cream-blushes-review-and.html I’m a pretty big fan of cream blushes. I don’t usually apply them with my fingers, instead I apply with my regular blush brush, it tends to give a very pretty, glowy look. I also love how long cream blushes usually last, I get a pretty flush all day with a cream blush, that doesn’t always happen with a powder blush. So, while I have great love for cream blushes, I admit that I haven’t really broken out of the mold and tried many of them. I tend to stick with my favorites, from Maybelline and Stila. And I haven’t tried a blush that comes in a tube. So, I was excited to try out the new L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Blushes. Now my list of favorite cream blushes has grown to 3. That’s huge people! There are currently three shades of this blush: 501: Soft Peach 502: Soft Pink 503: Soft Berry L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Blushes come out of the tube looking pretty intense. The texture is a bit like a thick mousse, and not at all sticky. I really recommend applying it out of the tube to the back of your hand, spreading it out a little…

Urban Decay Naked Flushed Review and Swatches: Everything You Need In One Palette https://www.15minutebeauty.com/urban-decay-naked-flushed-review-swatch.html https://www.15minutebeauty.com/urban-decay-naked-flushed-review-swatch.html#respond Thu, 31 Jul 2014 19:00:00 +0000 https://www.15minutebeauty.com/2014/07/urban-decay-naked-flushed-review-swatc.html Urban Decay has slowly been adding more and more products to their Naked line, have you noticed? While I’m a big fan of all the eye shadow palettes (Naked2 is my favorite), the double ended 24/7 Glide On Liners and the foundation, I think this might be my favorite yet! They released their original Naked Flushed palette a while ago, somehow I haven’t tried it yet. But three new shades have just been added to the collection, and I’m in love! Each of these palettes is pretty large. They contain a trio of very finely milled products. Don’t let that palette fool you, there’s enough of each to fill a regular full sized container. Each trio is meant to work together for your look, and there is a bronzer, a highlighter and a blush. Everything you need to highlight/contour/glow! Since the original Naked is more of a medium-pink (I don’t have it, so no comparison pics, sorry!), the 3 new shades all fill the colors you’d want to see as well. Native is a lighter pink, Streak is more of a peach and Strip is mauve. And yes, Strip makes me look a bit bruised? I do think they would…
