The classic dermatologist answer is Nioxin shampoo (the medicated one) for dandruff as it will also help oily hair. Be sure to buy one of the rubber scalp scrubbers and use it as well. We all think we scrub our scalps much better than we actually do! Nioxin also has some options that are still medicated but are also good for thin hair 🙂

Which products from all of those lines have you used and why can’t you use them? Do you have an allergic reaction or you’ve tried a few products and have decided that the line doesn’t work? Just trying to figure out what to recommend to you 🙂

P.S. I cannot use Redken products either. Yup, it’s a mystery.

In recent years I’ve found that my biggest hair problem is seasonal. While my Bain de Terre hair products are perfect most of the time, right how they are failing me in the dry winter months. The indoor heat in particular tends to make my hair completely flat, even right after I dry newly washed hair.

It may be that I need to revert to Pureology for the cold months, but if you happen to have some suggestions, I’m all ears. FYI, I’ve found I cannot use It’s a 10, CHI, or Fekkai products.

Thank you and Happy Holidays, Ardith
