In my search for new winter beauty tips, Liza Lentini shared her amazing favorite tips. Today I’ll share her favorite makeup tips, in a few days you’ll find out her favorite hair tip. I asked her for product suggestions to go with each tip as well. Though, obviously you should be able to find products in many lines and price points that will help you achieve each look!
Brighten Your Eyes
Instantly combat those cold mornings by brightening the window to your soul: your eyes. You need no training or diagram for this. Many great companies make highlighters in shimmery gold and silver in prices to accommodate everyone’s budget. Blend well along your lash line, paying close attention to the inner-eye. Brightening your inner-eye will brighten the look of your whole face.
Benefit has amazing highlighters for eyes. Benefit Eyebright looks like a soft pink, but goes on like a very natural brightener. Benefit Guilded and Mr. Frosty pencils are my go-to gold and silver hued options.
Try a New Lipstick
For an easy, quick pick-me-up, change your lipstick. Choose a bright pink slightly outside your comfort zone. Think of it as a fun, new accessory for any winter outfit.
Though my kit is filled with Christian Dior and Chanel, they don’t always make for a recession-friendly impulse buy. Just the other day I picked up Wet n Wild #511B, a super bright pink that never fails to make my day. At two bucks a tube you’ll forgive it for not being high-end, though their quality has come a long way since the ’80’s. At that price, there’s no excuse for not trying it out!
Embrace a New Polish
This winter, paint your nails blue. Because blue nails are all the rage right now, it’s the perfect time to try this youthful, whimsical hue. If you’re feeling a little less adventuresome, try navy. It’ll be a demure alternative to the deep burgundy staple of seasons past. My go-to blue is Borghese Nail Lacquer in Mezzanotte Blue, a dark navy. I truly can’t live without it.

I love bright fuchsia pinks or brown based reds, it makes my skin brighter also makes me prone to lots of compliments at the makeup counters š
Michelle, thank you for sharing. Those are excellent ways to brighten skin. Fuchsia on anyone is a fabulous brightening trick all year round.
