Quick and Easy Last Minute Bunny Costume Makeup

I know I’m not the only mom who spends a lot of time with her kids, planning out their Halloween costumes and plotting the perfect night of trick or treating…. only to have your kids beg you to dress up too. We’re planning to have a quiet Halloween night at home, complete with our favorite candy and a movie. But, I didn’t want anything elaborate. My 5 year old decided mommy needed to be a cute bunny!

Everything I needed for this look is from Walmart, and it can do double duty as every day makeup items later on. Well, except for the bunny ears. I have a feeling that my daughters will be adding the ears to their dress up collection!

I started with my regular every day makeup already in place. I have a very simple eye look with this cream eye shadow in a light wash across my eye.

I start with the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk. These pencils are a go-to for me if I’m creating a fun makeup look like this (for myself or my girls) because they’re so easy to use and you have a few minutes before they set up.

I literally just draw 2 rounded areas next to my mouth and nose, then fill them in roughly. It doesn’t need to look perfect, because I’ll blend it a bit with a finger. If you make a mistake, you can easily wipe the pencil off with a tissue (you don’t even need a makeup wipe), and start over! After about 2-3 minutes it will set up and be much harder to budge.

I also put a little triangle of NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in yogurt on my nose. It’s a very pretty pinky-peach color, so kind of perfect for a bunny nose!

I used NYX Professional Makeup Epic Wear Long Lasting Liquid Face & Body in black to create some whiskers. I also outlined my nose and added a few dots, somehow that made me look more like a  bunny.

I completed the look with an easy to wear bunny ear headband.

My girls have approved of my trial run for my bunny makeup, and I’ll be wearing it during our at home Halloween festivities! What’s your plan for Halloween?
