After the last few years, we could all use a bit more pampering. I love giving (and getting) spa products for gifts! There are always more amazing masks, lotions and other products to try. They’re great to give as gifts too, since we could all use a little pampering.
A quick note about the products in this gift guide. All of the beauty products included in this list are clean beauty products, and they’ve also met my standards for pregnancy and nursing safety. I’ve chosen items for my idea of a spa day, which is really about 90 minutes max. I like to do a few treatments in a comfy robe, multi-tasking as much as possible. Picture a deep conditioning treatment in my hair, mask on my face, comfy robe and a foot massager. All at the same time. Then a super long hot shower, with all of the amazing smelling scrubs and body washes. Finally, scented body cream and an ultra hydrating and soothing facial moisturizer. I can pack all of that into a busy weekend morning, and still have time to spend with my family.
1. Super Soft Robe
The first part of any real spa treatment is getting into something comfortable. For me that means a long and super soft robe. My favorite is this option from SKIMS, but this one from Barefoot Dreams is also a great option. You could also go for a cozy 2 piece lounge set like this one, though I always worry about getting products on the top when removing to get in the shower.
2. Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment
A spa day isn’t a spa day without super treating your hair! The first product I apply is always a conditioning treatment to my hair, and using a Deep Conditioning Heat Cap makes any conditioner into a deep treatment. I would pair the heat cap up with the 100% Pure Moisture Drench Conditioner. I heat up the cap, apply conditioner all over my hair and leave it all on for about 10-15 minutes. This is the perfect time to relax and let a face mask work its magic at the same time!
3. Face Mask
Once I have a hair mask on, it’s time to start a similarly timed face mask. I like use a mask with multiple benefits if possible, to really maximize my treatment! I can then wash it off in the shower, and I’ll use a super hydrating product at the very end of spa time.
I love the 100% Pure Matcha Oat Milk Nourishing Mask, which has oats and calendula to soothe (amazing for my sensitive skin), coconut milk for softening, green tea to restore and protect against environmental damage. Ceramides improve suppleness (they’re key for your skin’s barrier function) and finally hyaluronic acid really help hydrate your skin!
One thing that’s really interesting about this mask is that it comes as a powder. You easily mix it a little to activate and apply the mask, and you can add a little bit of face oil if you want. This makes the mask really easy to travel with as well, no need to take up space in your 3-1-1 bag!
4. Massage
Once you’ve applied both your hair and face masks, you have about 10-15 minutes to allow the products to work their magic. I’ve had my eye on the Cloud Massage Shiatsu Foot Massager to help me multitask during this time. It has a lot of different settings, intensities and even offers heat!
5. Pampering Shower Items
Once my masks have completed their thing, I like to get in the shower to quickly and easily wash everything off. But since I’m in the pampering mood, I definitely use pampering products! I love to use scented body wash, scrubs and lotions in the shower. I will match the scent of all the products, and typically I’m a sucker for anything orange scented (pictured here are the 100% Pure Blood Orange Shower Gel and Nourishing Body Cream). However, the Lavender and Honey Almond scents are also pretty amazing!
If you’re still using a shower pouf, it’s time to update! I highly recommend checking out a Säpo/Sapor. Typically made of knotted together nylon, they can be used scrunched up (just like a shower pouf) or you can pull them taut to get hard to reach places like your back! There’s a little more scrubbing action involved as well, I feel extra clean after I’ve used mine. They don’t harbor bacteria either, so they’ll last for years. Mine is from Kate Lynn & Adwoa.
6. Ultra Hydrating Finishing Products
Once you’ve spent all of this time with treatment products, I like to finish strong with super hydrating products to make my skin even more glowy. I typically pull out a couple of different moisturizers/balms, and I apply them to very specific areas to take advantage of all their benefits! I like a balm that offers other benefits like the 100% Pure Super Fruit Balm for my face and particularly dry areas. 100% Pure Skin Support Stretch Mark Butter goes on any areas with stretch marks (my stomach and things mostly), and then I follow it up with the 100% Pure Nourishing Body Cream to all of the other areas.
