The list of discounts is actually much longer, and you really need to shop at ULTA Beauty to see just how many things are included. A lot of my favorite products are at a pretty good discount,
I’ve changed up how I’m doing my face makeup recently, and the results are natural and glowy. I love that they last all day without creasing! Since most of the products are available in the ULTA Beauty Black Friday Event, I wanted to share!
What I’m using:
• Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Hydrating Skin Tint SPF 15: I like this tinted moisturizer because it’s hydrating, doesn’t feel heavy and has quite a few shades. Recently my skin has started losing the summer glow, and I’ve found that my other tinted moisturizers were all too warm! This comes in 18 shades, including cool tones. The light to medium coverage works well, and when I blend it out I can’t even see the Hydrating Skin Tint on my skin.
• Bobbi Brown Skin Color Corrector Stick: I’ve found that this corrector stick is a little more hydrating than my previous favorite, which means it’s less likely to crease! It’s also just the right shade of peach (I use Bisque) to both act as a corrector and a concealer.
• Urban Decay Quickie 24HR Full-Coverage Waterproof Concealer: I recently rediscovered this concealer in my makeup vanity, and I’m loving it all over again! It’s medium to full coverage, but blends out really well and doesn’t crease. I love that it can be used all over my face without an issue, and the top even has a blending brush in it.
• Urban Decay All Nighter Vitamin C Hydrating Setting Spray: If you’re going to use a setting spray, why not use one that doubles as a bit of skincare? This works just as great as the classic All Nighter Setting Spray, helping my makeup last all day.
• Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow Foundation Brush (not included in Black Friday Event): This brush is a little bit of a splurge, but super worth it! I’ve found that it really does double duty, perfectly blending out my underey concealer as well as my foundation.
• Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Brightening Powder (not included in Black Friday Event): Forever my favorite, I love that it adds a bit of luminosity to my skin without looking like I’m shimmery.
My Method:
• I’ve discovered that the secret to makeup that doesn’t crease but also lasts all day really is how you layer it. And by layering it, I mostly mean how many times I apply setting spray! Once my skin is prepped with skincare, I spray a very light mist of setting spray on my entire face.
• Next, I apply a bit of the Hydrating Skin Tint to the back of my hand, and using the brush (which I also spray with a bit of setting spray), I’ll pick up a bit of the Skin Tint to apply to my face.
• When applying the Skin Tint, I start from the middle of my face and work outward. I only apply to areas that I think my skin tone needs a little evening out. I apply by bouncing the brush on my face, and blend with either small circle movements of the brush or just stippling. Don’t sweep the brush, this creates streaks and removes some of the Skin Tint.
• Next, I’ll apply my concealer the same way. Apply to the back of the hand, pick up a little at a time with the brush (which has been sprayed with setting spray), and apply only where needed. I try to avoid a lot of concealer under my eyes, so this usually just means in the inner 1/3 under my eyes, right at the outer corner of my eyes, and around my nose. Concealer is bounced/stippled on to the skin to have a higher coverage.
• Once I’m happy with the Skin Tint and concealer, I apply a little powder with a powder puff, gently pressing into the skin under my eyes and in my t-zone.
My skin looks smooth and just “better” than it really is. The pictures don’t do this method justice! It will still look exactly the same when I get ready for bed at night, no touch ups needed.
