Adding a Little Honey to My Skincare… Farmacy is at ULTA Beauty!

Farmacy product picks from ulta

One of my favorite skincare brands has dropped at ULTA Beauty! This means that it will be easier than ever to grab refills on some of my favorite products. I wanted to show how I use these products as part of my normal skincare routine. I love that they’re super hydrating and gentle on my skin, which is exactly what I need in the middle of this midwest winter! Note, I do adjust things daily as I need to, depending on how my skin is reacting. But, in general this is how I use the Farmacy products.

Makeup Prep

Now that I’m older (yes, I’m 47…), my makeup really depends on having amazing skincare prep underneath! I look for super hydrating products that don’t feel heavy on my skin, don’t leave behind residue, and sink into my skin fairly quickly. No one wants to wait around for 10 to 15 minutes to finish getting ready for the day!

I start with the Honey Milk Hydrating Essence. Truthfully, this is so lightweight that it almost feels like water on my skin. It has ceramides in the formulation, really helping to restore my skin’s barrier function. I put a couple of shakes of the essence into my palms, then smear it around my face. I’ve found that patting it a few times at the end as the final “finish” somehow does help with makeup prep. I’m not sure why, is the product sitting differently on the surface of my skin? Somehow the pats help.

Next, I use the Wake Up Honey Eye Cream. This is a great hydrating and plumping eye cream, great for helping my under eyes look a bit less tired and preventing my concealer from developing mid-day creases.

If my skin is extra dry for some reason, or I know I’ll be exposed to the elements a bit more, I do sometimes add a light layer of the Filling Good Hyaluronic Acid Plumping Serum over the top. It’s also very lightweight, adds a little extra smoothing and plumping to my skin. I also like to “pat” this on at the end as well.

Dry Skin Rescue: AKA, Wake Up Glowy

I know I’m not the only one that sometimes realizes that they need to do a little extra something sometimes to their skin at night. When I wash my face and realize… I feel a little blah. Maybe I was outside a little too long, or my skin is a little extra dry, or I just want to have a little more glow the next day. This trio always delivers!

I start with a little of the Honey Grail Ultra-Hydrating Face Oil. I like that this is a little thicker than other face oils I’ve used in the past. I feel like it is maybe sealing in moisture a little more? I love how soothing it feels as it starts to sink into my skin. I layer over it with the Wake Up Honey Eye Cream, and then the Honey Halo Ultra-Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer. Honey Halo is a ceramide moisturizer, so it’s really helping to support my skin’s barrier function and restore my glow, rather than just act as a barrier cream.

This trio really does make a big difference in how my skin looks in the morning!
