Pregnancy Safe Skincare from First Aid Beauty

Pregnancy Safe Skincare from First Aid Beauty

Pregnancy safe skincare can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products.

Here you’ll find pregnancy safe products from First Aid Beauty as of 12/27/2022. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.

Thanks! I’ve been super busy at work and with my girls. I haven’t had any time to post at all, I’m hoping to be better about that, but I need to sort out a few issues on the site, the pregnancy series has become crazy popular but needs to be reorganized. Let me know if there are any topics you’d like see covered!

Hi! Your page has been so helpful as I attempt to revamp my beauty and skin care products. I saw you removed all FAB products due to licorice extract. I recently received the FAB radiance pads in my Ipsy bag. I didnt see licorice in the ingredients. Can you be my second pair of eyes? I’ve been looking for a good exfoliator outside of my ACV and the FAB pads looked promising.

These products all contain hemp, which I won’t state is safe for sure. Here’s my little blurb that I share about it:

There isn’t info out there on the safety of Cannabis used topically during pregnancy or nursing. We do know smoking marijuana with THC has bad effects and should be avoided, though it hasn’t been fully decided if it is just the THC or something else as well.

Note that in theory Hemp and CBD do not have THC in them, it’s breed out of the plant is the official status. However, depending upon how it was processed some hemp or CBD oils will test positive for THC. But there are still the unknowns we haven’t decided about. I would not recommend using Hemp or Cannabis products while nursing or pregnant for that reason.

      Christine said:

I’d look at the Cetaphil cleanser, from what I remember of the FAB cleanser it is similar (though I haven’t used it for over 10 years). The repair cream is likely best replaced with the Cetaphil Cream or Kiehl’s Ultra Repair Cream (can’t remember if the 2nd one is pregnancy safe currently), but neither are quite as thick.
