I am asked a lot about foundation recommendations, and while I wear foundation, because I’m such a strange in between pale shade (I’m N25 in Cover FX, 3.75 in Giorgio Armani), I’m pretty difficult to match. And typically, drugstore shades don’t match me. I have to mix 2 together to have a foundation that is close, and previously I haven’t found a product that I liked enough to do that.
Until now.
L’Oreal has just released Infallible Pro-Glow, a great all day radiant foundation. This is a medium coverage foundation, and while it doesn’t look shimmery, it is fairly moisturizing and will give anyone’s skin that glowy, dewy finish that you see on the runways.
When using this foundation, I’m a tad darker than the 201 shade seen here. I’ve been using it anyways, and then just applying some bronzer to make everything blend in well. I use a foundation brush and apply it all over my face, and then blend with a BeautyBlender sponge. It blends very easily, looks super natural and just like I have perfect skin!
Throughout the day, my skin does start to look a bit more dewy, so I do have to reapply some powder about 3 pm. I’ve very curious how well this foundation will perform in the winter when my skin is a bit drier and in need of hydration. But, my skin still looks very natural and perfect otherwise at the end of the day, so I’ve been loving this foundation!
In comparison, L’Oreal does make a great Pro-Matte Foundation that is pretty similar to this, but slightly fuller coverage. I did find that the Pro-Matte is a bit more matte than I usually like, so with a little bit of added shimmer mixed into the foundation, I was happy with it. It lasted all day and looked great. I also had to mix 2 shades together with the Pro-Matte since I am mid-way between 101 and 102 with those foundations as well.
I’m thinking of mixing my Pro-Matte with the Pro-Glow to create the most perfect foundation ever. In the meantime, if you’re looking for a new drugstore foundation, I recommend these. Pro-Glow if your skin is a bit dry or you want to be glowy, Pro-Matte if your skin is oily.
