There are so many amazing eyeshadow palettes out there that it can be really hard to pick a good one! I’ve compiled a quick list of some of my favorites. These are my must have, go-to shadows. If I’m traveling, chances are that I’ve brought one or two of them with me. There’s always one of these on my vanity top. My favorites are all pretty neutral, but there are a few fun shades in there to use as an accent.
Anastasia Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette: It isn’t exactly neutral, but the pinks and golden tones of this palette really do seem to work for everyone. I like that it has a nice balance of matte and shimmer finishes as well.
Urban Decay Naked2 Palette: There are a lot of Naked palettes out there now, between 1, 2, 3, Heat… the list goes on and on. I think Naked2 is the best for starting out. I break it out a lot for classics like Chopper and Snakebite, which I’ve almost hit pan on.
Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette: Great matte shadows that work on their own or with anything else pretty much.
Too Faced The Chocolate Bar: Great basics for everyone, and I love that there are some great lighter pinks in this set. Here’s my original Chocolate Bar review.
Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar: Slightly deeper than the original I think, but that teal… Oh wow! Bon Bon is worth buying the whole palette!
Bobbi Brown Downtown Cool Eyeshadow Palette: The more I use this palette, the more I fall in love with it! I’ve been using it for the perfect matte daytime smokey eye, but it’s also super easy to add a little shimmer later and transition quickly into a night look. See my original review here.
MAC Warm Neutral Times 15 Eyeshadow Palette: MAC has released a few of these 15 pan shadow collections, and they are always a good deal. This one is a warm neutral and the reddish tones make it perfect for fall and winter! It has a few of my favorites, Hey is great as an all over color wash, and Honey Lust and Amber Lights work with any other neutral matte shades to take your look to the next level.
i love the Urban Decay palettes! They’ve always been one of my favorites, and I haven’t branched out too much from them! I’ve recently tried a few of the Tarte palettes, which I really like!!
