I used to cover as many holiday beauty items as I could squeeze into fall every year. But, over time the releases have gone crazy and there’s no way to cover them all. So, I’m a bit more selective now. But when the NARS Holiday items were announced, I kind of wanted them all. And when I tried them, I knew I had to share them with you! So, I’ll cover them in a series of posts. Today I’m sharing the Noire Et Blanche Audacious Lipstick Coffret, which is perfect if you like red lipsticks.
I think the most interesting thing about this set is the plastic case. This holiday collection is inspired by Man Ray, who specialized in the art of illusion. The plastic dome on top lifts off of the black base, and the lipsticks are stashed inside. The image that is magnified is just a sheet of paper that sits on top of the lipsticks, so you could easily replace this with another picture if you want to reuse the case.
Inside of the case are 4 Audacious lipsticks. I haven’t really tried this formulation previously, and I don’t know what took me so long! They are hydrating and creamy with great color pay off. The formula lasts for 6-8 hours without reapplication, I was very impressed!
