Unfortunately this has a chemical sunscreen and salicylate. I’d avoid it in pregnancy, but ok to us while nursing.

Hello. I have been using your website as a guide during my first pregnancy! Thank you! Hoping you can clarify something. Parsley toner contains Benzoic Acid. I read that Salic acid/Benzoic acid are not approved for pregnancy, hoping you can confirm or deny.

Hi, I’m from Asia, I just noticed that sage oil is present in most of the aesop products, is it safe during pregnancy?
I just want to make sure. Could you please check the bitter orange toner. Ingredients listed are below:

Bitter orange ¹ ・ Witch hazel¹ ・ Rosemary leaf ² (¹ Skin conditioning ingredient ² Fragrance)
Water, modified alcohol, hamamelis water, polysorbate 80, glycerin, cha leaf extract, phenoxyethanol, lavender oil, peppermint oil, rosemary oil, EDTA-2Na, hamamelis extract, sardine oil, eucalyptus leaf oil, laurel oil, sage oil, Fragrances
Sage is fine topically during pregnancy. You need to ingest extremely large amounts to have any effects (similar to rosemary) and physicians don’t advise avoiding in the diet, and it isn’t accepted by the medical community as something you need to avoid topically.
This product is pregnancy and nursing safe.
