    Hi Christine!
Thank you for everything you do to help! I know that you have reviewed The ND Hyglam Correcting Concealer. I’m concerned about something I read on Ulta’s website under the Details>Key Ingredients, that says it has this ingredient: VITIS iLUX – Capsicum annuum leaf stem cells. Please correct me if I’m wrong, I recall you mentioning stem cells are not safe during pregnancy/nursing. Are these in fact stem cells ? Also in Sephora’s website under About the product>Highlighted Ingredients: Trio of Botanical Stem Cell Actives. So I just wanted to make sure and run it by you, to see if it is actually not safe to use during pregnancy/nursing? If you may please review it? I would appreciate it. Thank you! I’ll attach the ingredients from Ultas website:

Water (Aqua), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Bis-Stearyl Dimethicone, Caprylyl Methicone, Isohexadecane, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Glycerin, Isononyl Isononanoate, Diphenyl Dimethicone, Iron Oxides (CI 77492), Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, C30-45 Alkyl Dimethicone, Stearyl Dimethicone, Alumina, Butylene Glycol, Boron Nitride, Sodium Potassium Aluminum Silicate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Chloride, Iron Oxides (CI 77491), Disteardimonium Hectorite, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Tocopheryl Acetate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, C20-24 Olefin, Silica, Propylene Carbonate, Fragrance (Parfum), Iron Oxides (CI 77499), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract [Vitis Vinifera Fruit Extract], Portulaca Grandiflora Extract, Capsicum Annuum Extract, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate.

I screen brands with the info on the brand lists. The brand doesn’t call out stem cells, and the typical names used for stem cells are not in this ingredient list (usually a callus or culture extract, there are extracts but they don’t have callus or culture). I’m not sure why ULTA is call them out as stem cells, but the way this list is written is appears to just be a regular extract of the peppers and not specifically stem cells. I won’t be changing this page based on what ULTA says, you can decide what you are comfortable with.

        Hi Christine,

Yea I’m not sure why Ulta did that either with saying it has stem cells so I was concerned.
But thank you sooo much for the reassurance that it’s safe according to the ingredients and that its just extracts and for your explanation. I appreciate you! Hope your having a nice day!

I’m just not quite sure about stem cells, so I don’t feel comfortable saying they’re ok. There’s nothing to really back me up, if that helps.
