Pregnancy Safe Products from Native

Pregnancy Safe Products from Native

Pregnancy safe beauty products can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products.

Here you’ll find pregnancy safe products from Native as of 3/17/2024. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.

Reminder: I do NOT review dental products. Even if you ask. I don’t have training in how the teeth absorb things, we got about 4 hours of teeth total when I was in medical school. The ingredients are also very different.

When a product is mentioned, I’ve already checked ALL of the scents/shades. This is true on all posts. Please don’t ask me to re-review each scent. I’ve already done that.

I bought the volumizing shampoo,, then came across this post. I saw under safe for pregnancy and nursing the thick 2 in 1 shampoo conditioner. I went to target to buy it but saw it had the same ingredient that was deemed unsafe with the other, Salicylate. Can you clarify why the thickening shampoo/conditioner is safe even though it has the same ingredient as said unsafe in the volumizing shampoo?

It may have been reformulated or they may have a different formula in the store? Unfortunately I’m at the mercy of the online ingredient list (which didn’t have it), which is why I say to always check your own label. I didn’t lie on purpose…

Interesting. So I’m 6wk pregnant and at four weeks looked up all my products besides native which I’ve been using 🙁 something told me to check but from what I could see on label I didn’t see any bad ingredients. How can you tell it has salicylate? Wish I would have checked sooner 🙁

The ingredient will say salicylate as the 2nd word.

    Hello,

I read on another website that Native deodorant is not safe for nursing but your list says it is safe for pregnancy and nursing. Do you know why someone else may have said it’s not safe?

What lotions would you suggest? I’ve been using native body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, but haven’t found a good moisturizer and am still using original jergens at this point.

I’m actually unhappy with my own choices in both of those right now! My default body wash is Olay, because it’s gentle and hydrating, but I’ve been using it for about 15 years and I want something new. I’m between a bunch of different body lotions right now and the only ones I really like are a Tata Harper body oil and a matching gel-oil thing. Which is insanely expensive (so I only buy it during friends and family) and I can’t travel with it (doesn’t come in small sizes) and it’s too heavy for the summer. So, I’m afraid I’m currently of absolutely no help. I’m sorry! If you find something and love it, let me know!

Hi- I am seeing different ingredient list on the native website vs Target. The facial cleansers from Target all contain additional ingredients including sodium salicylate. Are these no longer safe to use during pregnancy?

In this case the brand website seems to be much more accurate, which is surprising as target is usually ok. But I always go with the brand website and screen products with the lists from the brand.
