Looking at the list now it is NOT the same as when the products were first released, it is about twice as long. And I looked carefully for retinoids before, because I expected them to be there. So, you’re right, it isn’t safe. But please note I am at the mercy of online ingredient lists, which can change and be updated and that is NOT my fault, please give me a little grace. I work with the information I am given.

It depends on whether the AHA is within an extract (which doesn’t count) or is a higher concentration chemical listed on its own. I look at the actual ingredient list, not what the brand puts in a product description.

    Hi Doctor!

As you mentioned in blog, Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Hydrating Moisturizer is safe for pregnancy. However, it includes Propylene Glycol When using the longest, the pregnant is very easy to cause irritation, causing the skin to age quickly, when absorbed into the body, it will increase the risk of damage to the brain, liver, kidneys, heart …
So is it right and safe for pregnancy? The ingredients as below :

    Water/Aqua/Eau
    Glycerin
    Dipropylene Glycol
    Dimethicone
    Cyclopentasiloxane
    Cyclohexasiloxane
    Yeast Extract
    Sodium Hyaluronate

    Sodium Pca
    Tocopherol
    Ascorbyl Palmitate
    Caprooyl Phytosphingosine
    Caprooyl Sphingosine
    Saccharide Isomerate
    Saccharomyces/Magnesium Ferment
    Saccharomyces/Iron Ferment
    Saccharomyces/Copper Ferment
    Saccharomyces/Silicon Ferment
    Saccharomyces/Zinc Ferment
    Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract
    Methyl Gluceth-20
    Ethylhexylglycerin

    Cetyl Alcohol
    Disodium Edta
    Sodium Benzoate
    Potassium Sorbate
    Phenoxyethanol
    Mica

    Thank you ^^

The list of ingredients that I screen out is here:
skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy

Propylene Glycol does not have enough evidence that the medical community widely thinks it should be avoided in pregnancy (note, my list is pretty conservative). It is irritating but not to all skin types, and this list isn’t about potential irritants. If you think I would knowingly not screen out unsafe ingredients, I think you need to realize how rude you are being and also seek information elsewhere.

First of all – thank you so much! Your work is priceless and unmatched – nobody does anything like that. Thank you-thank you-thank you.

I have a question about 21 Peptide moisturizer. It’s on an OK list, however, the link takes us to the old (beloved) product, which Sephora, sadly, doesn’t cary but PTR and Nordstrom do. Wanted to make sure that I’m actually looking at the product you OK-ed. Nordstrom contains the easy-to-access ingredient link
