It’s that time of year, again. The Sephora Holiday Bonus Event has started, and this is the perfect time to buy gifts for friends and family, stock up on your beauty staples, and try out a few new items!
First, you’ll need to be a Beauty Insider in order to take advantage of the Holiday Bonus Event discounts. If you aren’t already a Beauty Insider, what are you waiting for? The program is free, and while your tier will vary based upon how much you spend each year, there are benefits such as birthday gifts, earning points as you spend, beauty classes, early access to products and more. I’ve been a Rouge for years, and my favorite perk is getting 20% off most of the store during these events! Sign up here if you’re not already a member.
This year’s event opened to Rouge for early access on 11/1, and will open to all Beauty Insider tiers on 11/7. The event ends on 11/11. To get the discount, use the code HOLIDAYSAVE at checkout. Rouge get 20% off, VIB 15% off and Insiders 10%. Note there are a few restrictions for this event.
I thought I’d share what I’ve been putting in my cart. I have a few new products that I’ve tried recently (and haven’t shared yet), but I’ll also list my favorite staples. Finally, I’m also going to share my current undereye circle routine, an update from one of my most popular posts. My current must have product is one you need to add to your cart!
Hair
I use a lot of hair products. Shampoo and conditioner can really add up over time, especially since it rarely has a discount. But wait… my favorite shampoo and conditioner are both available from Sephora! I admit that I have 3 of each in my cart currently, and may increase that to 4 bottles of each.
I also love to treat my hair with Olaplex. I haven’t tried their shampoo/conditioner duo yet, but I use No 3 as a treatment about every 2 weeks, love their cream for when I blow dry, and a few drops of the oil is the perfect finishing touch. Note, that oil bottle is small but will likely last a lifetime. So I’m stocking up on the other products.

Face
Face makeup is another of those things that most people stick to their favorites. Do you have a favorite concealer like me? Or have you had your eye on a few new products to try out?
These products are newer to me, but so worth the splurge!
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish Color Corrector in Fair: I’ve been a big fan of color correctors for years, but this one seems to combine all of my favorites into 1 little product. It comes in much more vivid colors than other correctors, which means if you have deep undereye discoloration or have a darker skintone, this is the color corrector you want to get.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer: Yes, still one of my favorites after all these years. I don’t really need to use it over the corrector, but it goes around my nose and on other problem areas.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder: Super fine and it doesn’t cake, I want a second one to carry in my purse.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Face Palette in Ghost: Just the right amount of shimmer, this palette is going to be living on my vanity so I can use it every day.
Skincare
I didn’t picture any skincare with the face makeup, but you should consider that as well. If you have an eye makeup remover you love or a face cream you can’t live without, then this is the time to buy a couple.
My current skincare routine:
Eye Makeup Remover
My all time favorite cleanser
Once a week exfoliating treatment
Eye Cream
Nightly Serum
I alternate nights between this cream and this cream, the 2nd has retinoids and my rosacea can’t take it every night.

Eyes and Lips
I like to have variety in my eye makeup. I use a huge variety of different shadows and liners. But, I’ll find a favorite mascara or liner and use them almost every day for months. This is my favorite liquid liner currently, it makes a very thin line right at my lash which I love. If I want to use a pencil liner, this liner smudges perfectly at application but it won’t budge the rest of the day. My current must have mascara, and my go-to brow pencil.
I also just bought this lip balm to try out, though I’ll be stocking up on my go to winter lip balm.

Undereye Update
Yes, the light in my bathroom is rather unflattering in pictures (there’s a bit too much from above, so the lights create extra shadows). And yes, I look very tired when I have no makeup on! I wanted to show how dark my circles look before any makeup at all. I’ve prepped my skin with this Eye Cream. I use a fingertip to apply a very light layer of Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish Color Corrector directly over areas of discoloration. It gets blended in with my foundation or BB cream that I’m wearing that day.
I use the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder with a BeautyBlender, I just pat it directly over my under eye area and down my t-zone. I then apply a very light layer over my entire face and blend with this powder brush.
The final picture you can see that once I’m finished with my makeup (with products mentioned above) my circles are gone. This lasts all day and there’s no caking or need for mid-afternoon touchups!

This post is in collaboration with Sephora, but all opinions and purchases are my own!
Great post, thank you! Are the Kate Somerville products you mentioned pregnancy safe (except for the one with retinoids of course)?
Also, I am about 14 weeks along and my facial skin is getting drier (I was combo before). Do you have a safe recommendation for a daytime face cream? I notice you didn’t mention the one you use in your post.
I use the Kate Somerville for day as well, the retinoid one I just only use at night. I have a post with Kate Somerville pregnancy safety here, but I think the peptide serum and eye cream would be the only ones? I don’t remember off hand, I’m sorry!
Hello there from NYC! Just wanted to say that I’m enjoying your blog and so happy I stumbled upon it! (Not even sure how I got here…one of the many product searches during the Sephora & Credo week, I suppose!!). See you in the comments!
Wow, loved the result. I will search some of these products too. Thank you for the tip 🙂

Thanks!!
This has a chemical sunscreen and salicylate, ok for nursing but not pregnancy
Those false eye lashes work so well.
I’m not using any false lashes? I’ve actually NEVER been able to apply them. I’ve tried for years. This is a good curler and the mascara mentioned above.
Hi!
Since you mentioned Olaplex 3, is it safe for use during pregnancy?
Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate.
Water, Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate, Propylene Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Glycerin, Hydroxyethyl Ethylcellulose, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Quaternium-91, Sodium Benzoate, Cetrimonium Methosulfate, Cetrimonium Chloride, Fragrance, Polyquaternium-37, Tetrasodium EDTA, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Etidronic Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Phytantriol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Panthenol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate.
It’s fine, it’s just on your hair and your hair can’t absorb anything. Same goes for most styling products (pretty much just root sprays touch the scalp) and conditioners and treatment products.
