It’s here! Today is the first day of The Sephora Savings Event. I fully admit that this is my favorite of the Savings Events, mostly because in addition to my stocking up of my own must have items, I also purchase a lot of holiday gifts. I start planning my cart for The Sephora Savings Event months in advance! This is a huge deal, I can’t pass up the discount on my must have products that I use daily. The event has a few brand exclusions, but all of my favorites are included.
Info you need to know:
• Open to members of the Beauty Insiders, which is completely free and if you haven’t joined yet, you really need to join now! I love collecting points, which I use for things like money off my purchase and purchasing deluxe sample sizes of some of my favorite products, which are perfect for travel!
• There are different starting dates depending upon your tier in the Beauty Insiders Club.
Rouge members 20% off: 11/1 – 11/11
VIBs 15% off: 11/5 – 11/11
Insiders 10% off: 11/5 – 11/11
• Sephora Collection items are 30% off for all insiders from 11/1 – 11/11! Their products are often a major deal to begin with, but this discounts is amazing!
• Almost everything in Sephora is included in The Savings Event, but there are a few exclusions. But this makes it the perfect time to stock up on items you use all the time, try out something new, and also buy Holiday Gifts.
• You can use your discount code, SAVINGS, multiple times during your window! I always end up finding more items I want after my initial purchase.
• I love to use the Buy Online, Pick Up in Store or Pick Up Curbside options. Same-Day Delivery has also been amazing for my busy mom life, I’m forever needing to buy something when I don’t have time to run to my local store. You can use all of these options during The Savings Event.
Planning my #SephoraHaul
When getting ready for The Savings Event, I think of 3 different categories:
• Items I need to stock up on: My everyday favorites, that I know I’ll still be using months from now. Skincare, makeup, hair care and body products are all included. I go through my vanity and bathroom to see what I currently need to purchase. I also look through my travel beauty items, because I tend to forget to stock up on these favorites. I have a lot of trips planned over the nexxt 6 months, and it’s so much easier to have makeup and toiletries packed and ready to go!
• Items I want to try: I know I already have a ton of skincare and makeup, but I’m a beauty blogger for a reason. I love beauty products! There are always products that have been released, or a friend told me about, and I need to try them out! What if they’re a game changer for me?
• Gifts for friends and family: Sephora has amazing gift sets every holiday season. They’re great to give to others, even the pickiest family members! I’ll share a few of my favorites.
Stocking Up
Some of these products are ones that I mention year after year… they’re favorites of mine (and my family) for a reason! All of these are sitting in my cart, sometimes in multiples, waiting to be included in this year’s #SephoraHaul
Skincare
• Lancôme Bi-Facil Makeup Remover: This is my go-to for taking off waterproof eyeliner and mascara. Everything else leaves a residue or doesn’t take everything off. One swipe with Bi-Facil and it’s gone! I stock up every fall, this is amazing for using on my daughters after their dance competitions.
• Elemis Dynamic Gentle Resurfacing Enzyme Cleanser: For the least few years I have had a large bottle of this cleanser in my shower. I wash my face with it every single morning! It’s very gentle, but also helps to gently exfoliate my skin. I love that my sensitive skin doesn’t get irritated or dried out with it.
• Tata Harper Regenerating BHA Exfoliating Cleanser: This is my favorite “scrubby” face wash. It does have some grit to it, but the grit is not sharp and is pretty evenly sized. It smells like oranges (my favorite!) and rinses off easily. I leave it next to my sink and use it 2-3 times a week. It is a splurge, which is why I only buy it during The Sephora Savings Event. I used about 1.5 bottles a year, so it does last a long time.
• Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizing Cream: The favorite face cream of my family! My daughters and my husband both use it, Ultra Facial is super hydrating but doesn’t feel sticky or heavy on the skin. Great for every skin type.
• Kiehl’s Super Fluid Daily UV Defense SPF 50+: This is our family’s favorite sunscreen, I’ll be stocking up for travel over the winter.
• Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream: I’m obsessing over this hand cream right now. It feels super hydrating and soothing when it sinks into my skin, doesn’t feel sticky and it smells good but not overpowering. I’m stocking up for the winter and will have a stash at home and at work.
Makeup
• Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish Color Corrector: This is the corrector I use most often. It’s easy to dab on areas of darkness, I just use a fingertip. A little goes a long way, and it doesn’t increase cakiness at all.
• Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Brightening Concealer: This was a recent release, and it’s pretty amazing if you have mature skin or have issues with caking. Finally, a higher coverage concealer that is hydrating and doesn’t cake!
• Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Stick Blur + Smooth Tint Stick Foundation, Charlotte Tilbury Unreal Skin Foundation Stick: I like both of these foundation sticks. The Fenty has a bit of a satin finish, Charlotte Tilbury is more luminous and slightly less coverage. I tend to reach more for the Fenty.
• Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Brightening Powder: This is the powder I’m reaching for most often right now. I like that it is not detectable on my skin, and offers a little bit of luminosity.
• Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Waterproof Setting Spray: My favorite setting spray! I put it on over skincare and under my corrector/concealer/foundation, put on those 3 products and respritz my skin so when I blend with a brush that setting spray is in there to help set my makeup. It makes a huge difference in longevity and how fresh my makeup looks all day long!
• Dior Addict Lip Glow Balm: This was literally the first thing in my cart for The Sephora Savings Event. I’m obsessed with this lip balm. I have it stashed everywhere (work, all my purses, my backpack that I travel with, my nightstand, my desk at work and at home…) and I probably go through one a month. I’ve tried so many other lip balms, but none have the correct balance of hydration and waxiness, meaning it actually sticks around on the surface of my lips for more than 5 minutes but also adds a lot of moisture to my lips. It’s great alone or as prep for other lip products. This is the best savings I’ve found for this lip balm, so I currently have 6 in my cart.
• Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm: This is for me and my girls, but we have the Summer Fridays lip balms all over the place as well! My girls especially love Pink Sugar and Sweet Mint, but they both want to try the new Hot Cocoa flavor as well.
Haircare
• Kérastase Première Repairing Collection: I’m running out of my favorite shampoo/conditioner for damaged hair, and it’s really a full series of products that work together to repair my damaged hair! I’ve seen a huge decrease in split ends and hair breakage since I started using these products, so you know that I’ll be stocking up!
•• Treatment for Damaged Hair: The pre-shampoo treatment
•• Shampoo and Conditioner
•• Anti-Frizz Serum: I apply this to my hair once towel dried, before blow drying. It keeps frizz down, smooths and also works as heat protection.
•• High Shine Oil: I’ve been applying the oil whenever I think my hair needs a little extra… something. Whether that’s shine, smoothing of frizz, or just a little extra pampering in my nighttime routine, this oil has been my go-to and it’s made a big difference!
• Oribe Superfine Hair Spray: This is my favorite hair spray for the days I curl my hair. I swear it’s the reason my curls often last 2-3 days.
Things to Try
• ONE/SIZE On ‘Til Dawn Setting Spray: I’ve been obsessed with my Charlotte Tilbury Setting Spray for a while, but I keep hearing that the One/Size setting spray is very good, and a lot of people swear by a combo of the two for the ultimate in long lasting makeup. I want to try using a combo!
• Huda Beauty #FAUXFILTER Under Eye Color Corrector: I’ve used my Charlotte Tilbury for a long time, but I’ve heard that using a little pinker corrector might be better for my coloring. As well, this Huda apparently blends really well! Cherry Blossom is currently in my cart.
• DIOR Forever Skin Perfect 24H Multi-Use Foundation Stick: A lot of my friends have tried this foundation stick and report that it’s one that blends well, looks like “your skin but better” and doesn’t get cakey. I can’t imagine a stick foundation being better than my beloved Fenty, but I’m going to give it a try!
Gifts
• SEPHORA COLLECTION Outrageous Plump Hydrating Lip Gloss: My 13 year old and her friends have all been loving this lip gloss! It isn’t sticky, adds a little bit of color and shine, and they like the bling of the cap. Since Sephora Collection is 30% off, I’m stocking up on these for her stocking and for future presents for her friends.
• DIOR Lip Glow Oil: When the preteens want to feel extra, they’ve been using the Dior Lip Oil. It’s shiny and has a little bit of color, though can be a tiny bit stickier than the Sephora Gloss. I’ll also be buying a few of these for my daughter and her friends.
• Sol de Janeiro Fragrance Mist: Another gift for the preteens and teens in my house! They all love these fragrance mists, to the point of taking them to school each day and whenever we travel. So, we need both full sized and minis. I like that this Cheirosa Perfume Travel Mini Set has 4 scents to use, and it is so affordable. I’ll be buying one for each of my girls, and likely one or two more to break up and include in future gifts for friends. My 13 year old’s favorite is 59, but she says 62 is the most popular amongst her friends.
• Touchland Power Mist Top Five Value Set: The pediatrician mom in me loves that hand sanitizer is so trendy! This set is great to give away (both of my girls are likely getting one for Christmas), or use on your own.
• OUAI St. Barts Get A Ouai: Body cream, body wash and a scrub all in one set? Yes, please! I’d love to get this set myself, but it’s also great for my mom or my sister.
