Get the Look: Imperfect Waves with Oribe

Wavy hair tutorial with Oribe

This is not exactly the kind of look that you expect with a bridal show, but I loved how quick and simple this slightly messy style was, I love these imperfect waves. Obviously I wouldn’t wear it while walking down the aisle, but it works great for every day life such as running errands and going out for casual meals! This slept in wavy hair was created by Oribe Lead Hairstylist Adam Markarian.

Get the Look

Add texture and volume to your hair by spray Foundation Mist and then Maximista Thickening spray in to dry hair. Hit the hair with a burst from your blow dryer and rough everything up with your hands to add more volume and distribute the products.

Next, using a large barrel curling iron, add a few bends and waves in to the hair. You don’t want to add curl, just a bit more wave to your natural texture. Try loosely wrapping the hair around the curling iron, without using the clamp, to get this affect. You should be concentrating on the mid-shaft of your hair, leaving the root and ends free.

Finally, set the hair and add a bit of matte finish by using the Dry Texturizing Spray throughout the hair and then spraying a light mist of Thick Dry Finishing Spray over the whole head.
